Italian producer Wozek delivers a two track release for Smiley Fingers which sets very much at the deeper, techier end of the spectrum. First up is "New Born" which is a techy throbbing groove with a dark synth arrangement. The title track though is my favourite; the deep atmospheric arrangement is woven around a chugging rhythm and deep bass groove. The stand-out elements are the haunting keys and synthesized guitars. It's not my normal bag but it's made a terrific impression after only a couple of listens. Well worth checking out. Purchase links and audio samples to follow as soon as they are available.
