I've always been a huge fan of Gwen McCrae with "Keep The Fire Burning" a firm favourite. When it comes to the disco era and the years that followed it through to the early 80s I'm something of a purist, normally preferring the originals to more recent reinterpretations. While I would stop short of suggesting that Johan Järpsten (aka JJ) improved upon the original, his "Disco Dub Inferno" was (and still is) an excellent remix; it's certainly one that I've continued to play regularly in the 27 years that have followed its release.
