Oscar P's Open Bar Music has been a go-to source for original and authentic house music for many years now. The label's releases normally tread a deep and underground path rather than peddling tracks that merely go for the jugular every time. "Mi Vecino" is a beautiful slice of deep, soulful house lovingly crafted by Valencia resident Dom Scott featuring the most enticing vocals from Naer. The Original Mix is underpinned by gentle keys, throbbing bass and a synth arrangement that's reminiscent of early Beloved material. The sax that drops in periodically is just superb. Victor Font, aka Mr V, delivers a deeper and dubbier interpretation with captivating rhythms and a slightly darker combination of synths. Oscar P and DJ Stingray drop a further afro flavoured remix that's stripped right back leaving the vocals front and centre. Instrumentals are also included. Available now on promo through Traxsource with an official release date of July 2nd. "Mi Vecino" is my standout tune of the week.
