As one half of The Pound Boys and more recently under his own steam, Craig C has been responsible for many dancefloor classics over the last couple of decades heading as far back as the late 90s. This particular release finds David Harness & Will "Reelsoul" Rodriguez remixing his label's second outing nine months on from its debut last October. On vocals, Kim Dawson puts in an outstanding shift covering the Donna Allen funk track of the same name from 1987. The transformation from that 80s style to a deeper soulful house groove could hardly be more stark and it works perfectly; the throbbing bass and moody synths creating the perfect vehicle for Kim's voice. Tasty to say the very least!
