If there's one thing I've learned over the years, it's been to pay full attention to every release from Dave Lee's label, Z Records. On the back of another incredible year during which numerous essential tunes have been added to the label's catalogue, "No Excuses" pops up, complete with throbbing bass, banging keys and a monster of a vocal from Lifford Shillingford. There's a proper 90s vibe that takes me back to the heady days when CJ Mackintosh was still producing and the early days of MAW. If I was restricted to one word, it would be "Boom". Do not sleep on this one.
"No Excuses" is available to pre-order on Traxsource right now in time for a release date of Friday 6th November.
