Recommended Listening

Today's selection has been doing the rounds for several weeks and was officially released on 30th April. Originally performed by The Fatback Band back in 1983, "I Found Lovin" is a mid-tempo funky groover that's been carefully and tastefully recrafted by Dr Packer and Kenny Thomas. Those of us of a certain vintage will have no difficulty recalling Kenny's early success with "Outstanding" (covering The Gap Band classic), and "Thinking About Your Love". Both achieved considerable commercial success back at the start of the 90s and were staples in the sets of many a DJ at the time. Dr Packer has come to the fore in recent years with a series of amazing edits of classic tracks from years gone by. Releases on Glitterbox and Salsoul would suggest he's going to be around for some time to come.
