Lisa Millett - Closer [Look At You Records]
Today's journey back in time isn't quite as lengthy as usual, heading back only 18 years this time. Released on Look At You Records "Closer" is a funky slice of soulful house punctuated by a mellow blend of keys, rolling bass and enticing beats. Lisa Millet needs no introduction having featured on numerous massive tracks over the years heading as far back as 1992; her vocals are exquisite as ever. On production duties we find Craig C and DJ Dealer (The Pound Boys) who were a prolific pairing back at the end of the 90s and beginning of the 00s before heading their seperate ways a few years later.
