Gravitational Attraction

After a three month break, I've finally managed to find a free hour or two to put together a new mix show.
This show was conceived about 2 months ago but I never actually got round to recording it. It starts off a little poppy from Armand Van Helden (with a twist) before delving into a blend of soulful and deeper grooves and finishing with some funk fuelled fun from Z Records at the very end.

This show starts and ends firmly in the 90s which I've long regarded as the golden era for house music.It's a little housier than my recent sessions and is likely to be the final outing of the year.

Tune of The Week!

Ezel ft Earl W Green - Beautiful [Bayacou Records]

This week's tune of the moment for me is a real gem from Ezel. Underpinned by gently shuffling tribal rhythms with a subtle arrangement containing lush keys and enchanting melodies. The amazing vocals are delivered by South Africa's Earl W Green who recently featured on Ralf GUM's "Still I Rise". If you've heard and appreciated that gem then this will well and truly float your boat too. Just about as soulful as it gets and absolutely essential!

Today's selection is the latest from Ralf GUM who seems to knock out soulful gems for fun these days. "Still I Rise" features the soothing vocals of Earl W Green and rhythms that are almost instantly recognisable as having Ralf's hand on the tiller. Sweet, soulful, melodic, enticing; these are just a few of the words that jump out. Music to ease your mind.
