After a three month break, I've finally managed to find a free hour or two to put together a new mix show.
This show was conceived about 2 months ago but I never actually got round to recording it. It starts off a little poppy from Armand Van Helden (with a twist) before delving into a blend of soulful and deeper grooves and finishing with some funk fuelled fun from Z Records at the very end.
Tracklist:
Armand Van Helden - Hear My Name (Sgt Slick's Borderline ReCut)
Risk Assessment - Love Attraction (Original Mix)
Michael Gray ft Sian-Lee - Gravity (Extended Mix)
DJ Funky T ft Lorry Hunter - Sweetest Of All (Gianni Junior Remix)
Lenny Fontana - Reachin The Top (Club Mix)
Belman feat. Troy Denari - Need Your Luv (Extended Mix)
Soulmekanikz ft Hannah Khemoh - Hold You To It (Extended Mix)
Danny J Lewis ft Mike City - Flirty (Wez Whynt Remix)
Vick Lavender ft Justin Dillard - Time & Time Again (Jimpster Remix)
Col Lawton & FederFunk ft Becka - Love Me Right (N.W.N. Remix)
Tony Touch ft Jaidene Veda - Kiss Like This (Mr. V Sole Channel Remix)
Peter Mac ft Earl W. Green - Distant Lovers (DJ Spen & Reelsoul Remix)
Foreal People - Tango Hustle (Dave Lee Latican Hustle)

One I Slept On
Jaidene Veda - "Across The World" [Midnight Fashion]
I'm not sure how it took me so long to pick this one up and give it the multiple spins it deserves but we're finally there so all's good I guess. I've been favouring Kai Alce's deep throbbing remix complete with punchy synths, compelling rhythms and infectious sax or clarinet, (I'm not sure which). Either way that groove with Jaidene's soothing voice represents a heavenly combination that will no doubt have been doing the damage on many a floor while I've been blissfully unaware. "Across The World" has been available on Traxsource since January. Absolute Fire!

Sir LSG Long Player Review
Sir LSG - Moving Circles [GoGo Music]
The latest release from Ralf GUM's GoGo Music is the eagerly anticipated long player from South Africa's Sir LSG. There's an emphasis on musicianship and artistry that doesn't rely on any gimmicks or clichéd sounds. High on the originality stakes, the music makes no attempt to sound like anything you've heard from anyone else nor does it make reference to specific influences. You can expect a soulful journey tinged with jazzy vibes and underpinned with gentle but gnawing African rhythms. Every single one of the vocalists deliver performances that sit beautifully into the productions, oozing with soul and emotion while the rhythms persuade you to move your hips and tap your toes (at the very least). As a project, the album has taken four years to reach fruition an trust me it's worth great value for every single minute that's been spent lovingly crafting each of the tracks.
Moving Circles is out now and available to buy now through Traxsource and selected other digital music stores. Check out samples of each of the tracks in the embedded player below.
