Dancefloor Hustle

The fourth show of 2026 features a few new(ish) releases, another few that I haven't previously worked into my mixes and a few re-edits of classic tunes from years gone by. The vibe covers uplifting house through to disco. If I had to pick a stand-out track it would be Sgt Slick's remix of Luther Vandross & Janet Jackson "The Best Things In Life Are Free" which is reimagined to include the groove from D Train's "Keep On"

Shadows, Mirrors & Sunshine

The third show for 2026 finds us exploring predominantly new(ish) tunes. The journey starts on the deeper side before blending in some straight up vocal house and closing with a few disco infused vibes. I managed to work in a track from last year that I'd been meaning to include for some time and Sgt Slick's excellent remix of "I Wanna Be Your Lover" allowed me to round things off with a little bit of magic from the purple one.

DJ Meme & Double Dee - Everything (Micky More & Andy Tee Remix)[Groove Culture]

Hot on the heels of the original release three months ago, label bosses Micky More & Andy Tee drop their own interpretation of "Everything". The remix is respectful to DJ Meme's original but offers up a more stripped back alternative. The funk level is cranked up considerably courtesy of a remarkable new bassline while the mellow strings soothe the soul. Available on promo right now with a full release scheduled for 3rd September. Essential!

Shaun Escoffery - Nature's Call [Groove Culture Music]

Italy's most prolific label Groove Culture brings the heat yet again as Micky More & Andy Tee get to grips with Sean Escoffery's "Nature's Call". Originally released through UK's Dome Records in 2014, this is a tasty update complete with gentle keys, live bass, guitars and an incredible brass section. It's a classy arrangement that oozes soul and provides the perfect vehicle for Sean's wonderful voice. Available to pre-order now on Traxsource with an official release date of 8th July.

Micky More & Andy Tee ft Angela Johnson - Not Your Average Kind [Groove Culture]

This one was finally released yesterday having created a significant stir on promo over the last few weeks. Featuring high quality vocals from Angela Johnson, "Not Your Average Kind" is a soulful and uplifting house groove that's pleasing on the ear to put it mildly. The track is founded on a strong blend of keys, bass and brass that have something of a seventies feel to them. Each of the elements blend almost effortlessly, sounding as though they just belong together. Another excellent release from a production team and label that are on fire right now.

Track Review

Don Carlos - Alone (Micky More & Andy Tee Remix) [Groove Culture]

Micky More & Andy Tee really have been busy of late. This is the latest of several high profile remixes of old school house classics on which they've embarked. This time around it's Don Carlos' moody smouldering Italo House classic that receives their attention. First released on Calypso Records back in 1991 before seeing a US release through Irma Records the following year, it's a tune that also featured on Joey Negro's acclaimed "Italo House" compilation in 2014. The track itself is underpinned by a throbbing bassline and gorgeous keys with soothing strings and moody sax. The remix is highly respectful to the original, the pace feels similar but the percussion seems a little firmer. If this remix proves anything, it's that there's still plenty of life left in those classics from back in the day despite the passage of more than a quarter of a century. Available now on promo via Traxsource with an official release date of August 31st.

Jestofunk ft Jocelyn Brown - Special Love (Part 1) [Groove Culture]

Due for official release on 11th June but already causing an almighty stir on promo is this uplifting soulful gem featuring the unmistakeable voice of Jocelyn Brown. Micky More and Andy Tee's Jazzy Vocal is a proper hands in the air slice of house music in which the funky live bass and bounding keys dovetail perfectly with Jocelyn's evergreen vocals. Standing still is not an option when this is playing!
